From 14 years old, in private or group lessons (2 or 3 people)

Practical training

The appointments for the lessons are on the Port du Bouveret.

The practice area is the bay of Bouveret and its surroundings.

The scope can be extended depending on the duration of the course and the opportunities offered by the weather.

The duration of the course can vary from 1h30 to 3h.

It is possible to schedule several hours on the same day (with a break between two lessons).

Depending on your availability and your wishes, it is possible to do the training more or less intensively and to condense the courses over short periods. It takes about ten sessions of two hours minimum to prepare for the permit, but this can vary according to the aptitudes of each one.

To support you in your learning and better understand the operation of the sailboat, I provide in addition to the practical lessons a didactic support of 50 pages with many diagrams, the marine vocabulary and the description of the maneuvers carried out during the lessons.

Training and theoretical exam

Like when you pass your driving license, there is a "traffic code" for the boat that you must know in order to sail as a good sailor and comply with the regulations in force on our Swiss lakes. You are autonomous in this learning even if we will approach from time to time concepts directly related to navigation.

Even if it is possible to start the practical courses before passing the theoretical exam, we advise you to start to revise the theory at least 2 months before the start of the practical training. Indeed, you must successfully pass your theoretical exam before you can register for the practical exam. See terms at the bottom of the page in administrative formalities .

The support

We will sail on J80, modern and sporty sailboat, very sensitive in light airs but also marine and fast in more sustained winds. The simplicity of its deck plan and the space available in the cockpit will seduce you immediately.
